Reading in the Park

Spent the day outside today, just me and a trusty livre while I soaked up the sunshine. I spread out a blanket on the grass and took most of the day to read A Year In Provence by Peter Mayle.

All Around Town

Today's been a long day, and it's not even 5 o'clock. Outfits like this are geared around constant changes in scenery - jumping from breakfast out with friends, to shopping, cooking at home, at a evening coffee rendezvous - it's easy and perfect for all day wear.

Sunday Brunch

Apt. 9 Maxi Dress, H&M Blouse, Thrifted Turquoise Belt, Vintage Sandals, Vintage Jewlery

This past Sunday I was lucky enough to go a French luncheon in Pennsylvania farm country served by my former high school French professor and our class. The food was divine (and I got lots of recipes!), but I got experimental with my outfit for the day to combat the hot weather. 

Pairing a sleek black jersey maxi dress with a sleeveless white button down, tying the top under the bust and folding the rest of the material up under the shirt. I added a turquoise belt for contrast and lots of silver jewelry for some eclectic sophistication.
